Position Summary
The CNC Mill Programmer/Operator is responsible for independently operating, setting up, and troubleshooting a wide variety of CNC and/or manual machines.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently set up, operate, conduct prove-outs, perform minor program edits, and troubleshoot CNC and/or manual machines.
- Inspect and verify conformance of machined parts using provided measurement tools and techniques.
- Overcome production interruptions and troubleshoot machine and tooling issues to minimize downtime.
- Mentor and train less experienced machinists.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain or improve production processes as well as participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure all safety, quality, and production standards are met and maintained.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety procedures
Minimum Qualifications
- Advanced expertise in CNC machine setup, precision machining, and a foundational knowledge of CNC programming.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; vocational/technical certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a machinist in a production environment.
- Understanding of precision measuring tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing prints and GD&T quality specifications.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
- Strong troubleshooting abilities with an understanding of machining technologies.
- Excellent leadership, mentoring, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Pay: $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 50.0 per week
