We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Manufacturing Production Floater. In this role you will be an integral part of our production team, providing support across multiple areas on the production floor. You will be responsible for assisting with various tasks, ensuring quality control, maintaining production schedules, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a broad skill set to perform a variety of functions effectively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Production Support:
- Assist with the assembly, engraving and packaging of data logging devices.
- Operate various production machinery and equipment as needed.
- Assist with receiving as needed.
Quality Control:
- Report any quality issues to the production supervisor and assist in troubleshooting.
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensure products meet quality standards and company quality policies.
Inventory Management:
- Help and assist with inventory levels by tracking and reporting stock shortages to the production manager.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials and finished products.
Cross-Functional Support:
- Provide support to different departments as needed, including shipping, receiving, and machine shop such as deburring/finishing.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Quick learner, able to grasp concepts, or written instructions.
- Experience in production environment required.
- Basic computer skills
- Willing to work overtime when needed.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Able to effectively communicate with team members and participate as a team player.
