Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating requests with precision and efficiency
- Coordinate table assignments to optimize seating flow and minimize wait times using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information about wait times and reservation details
- Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate effectively with guests regarding their seating status
- Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health guidelines in the host station
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless guest relations and enhance overall dining experience
Experience
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred
- Strong background in food service, guest services, or hospitality roles demonstrating excellent customer service skills
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management tools and POS systems such as Shift 4 POS is advantageous
- Proven organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Basic math skills for managing waitlists, reservations, and billing procedures
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, along with professional phone etiquette
- Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations to support a safe dining environment
