Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing excellent customer service. This role is crucial in creating a positive dining experience and maintaining guest relations. The Host/Host will manage reservations, greet guests, and assist in seating arrangements while maintaining a pleasant atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide them with menus.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient table turnover while minimizing wait times.
- Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, handling reservations and inquiries professionally.
- Utilize Aloha POS or similar systems to manage orders and reservations effectively.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth operations.
- Address guest concerns promptly and help resolve any issues to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or guest services is preferred.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Background in hospitality or hotel services is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
