Madera Millwork & Designs LLC is seeking an experienced Mozaik Drafter / Millwork Designer to join our team.
The ideal candidate must have strong experience using Mozaik Software to develop detailed shop drawings, cabinet layouts, cut lists, and CNC-ready production files.
We specialize in high-end custom cabinetry and architectural millwork, including luxury kitchens, closets, vanities, wall panels, and custom-built furniture.
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who understands cabinet construction, manufacturing processes, and how to translate architectural drawings and design concepts into accurate, production-ready shop drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed shop drawings using Mozaik Software.
- Develop custom cabinetry and millwork designs based on architectural plans and project specifications.
- Prepare accurate cabinet dimensions, elevations, sections, and construction details.
- Generate cut lists, material requirements, and CNC-ready production files.
- Prepare nesting layouts and optimize material usage to reduce waste.
- Design cabinetry using appropriate construction methods, hardware, and joinery.
- Review architectural drawings and identify missing dimensions, conflicts, or construction issues.
- Coordinate with project managers to clarify project requirements before releasing drawings for production.
- Revise shop drawings based on approved project changes.
- Work closely with CNC operators, cabinetmakers, and installers to ensure accurate production.
- Maintain organized project files, drawings, and revisions.
- Ensure all drawings are accurate, complete, and ready for manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Proven professional experience using Mozaik Software.
- Strong knowledge of custom cabinetry and architectural millwork.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Experience creating detailed shop drawings and CNC production files.
- Understanding of cabinet construction, materials, hardware, and manufacturing techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet production deadlines.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing luxury residential kitchens, closets, vanities, and custom millwork.
- Experience with CNC routers and nested-based manufacturing.
- Previous experience working directly with a cabinet manufacturing shop.
