Requirements / Qualifications
Under general supervision, to assist a certificated teacher in the education, training, caretaking, and supervision of severely disabled, emotionally disturbed and/or physically disabled students; to assist in the implementation of self-help, social, and community skills; incumbents perform a variety of duties both in and out of the classroom and play a major role in caring for the physical needs of the students and perform a variety of clerical duties in support of the instructional program. Employees in this classification receive general supervision from an assigned administrator and work on a day-to-day basis with a certificated teacher within a well-defined framework of policies and procedures.
Education and experience: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school. Proof of graduation required; enclose or attach high school diploma or equivalent. (Must take and pass proficiency test if graduated high school prior to June 1981). THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED:
