Winding Operations Manager

Job Summary:Manage and direct all aspects of the Winding facility. This role requires the ability to manage and maintain productivity and quality of product throughout two shifts. Responsible for overall development, management, and performance of all employees within the facility, including but not limited to, employee safety, product quality, inventory, and machine maintenance.Duties and Responsibilities:PEOPLE:Provide leadership and development of Supervisor and Operators by establishing performance standards and accountabilitiesFollow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environmentMACHINESFollow a regular cleaning schedule for each machineMaintain good running condition of the machines, perform shift quality checks and make adjustments as needed to equipmentTroubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments and/or repairsKeep accurate records of production activities and machine maintenanceMaintain replacement part inventoryPRODUCTLoading/unloading trucksMove and store finished goods or raw materials as neededUnderstanding of production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and reworkEducation, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate: Previous experience in a manufacturing or service environmentStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsProficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematicsAbility to operate simple machineryStrong manual dexterity skillsAttention to detail and ability to maintain quality standardsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to package and sort finished goodsAbility to lift up to 50lbsGood communication skillsAbility to organize, manage and control workflow; ability to meet deadlinesProficient in Microsoft Excel Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Preferred:Previous experience in a manufacturing or service environmentPrevious experience in a related supervisory position in a similar industry, including three years managing staff and productionStrong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skillsCompetencies (if applicable):Directing and Leading OthersBusiness AcumenTimely Decision MakingDeveloping Direct ReportsDecision QualityHiring and StaffingEthics & ValuesListeningManaging & Measuring WorkPlanningPriority SettingProblem SolvingDrive for ResultsBuilding Effective Teams How Much Supervision is Required:___x____ Limited: Employee generally proceeds on their own initiative in compliance of company’s policy and procedures.
