Job Overview
MUST HAVE ACTIVE NC GUARD CARD OR CERTIFICATION
As a Security Guard, you’ll help protect people, property, and facilities through attentive surveillance, visible patrols, and clear communication. You’ll monitor closed-circuit television (CCTV), operate access control systems, and respond to incidents using established emergency response procedures. This role calls for sound judgment, professionalism, and a steady focus on safety. Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas, monitor CCTV, and report suspicious activity or safety hazards.
- Verify authorization, operate access control systems, and follow procedures for visitor screening and background checks.
- Respond to emergencies, provide first aid, and use cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) equipment when trained and appropriate.
- De-escalate conflicts, coordinate with emergency responders, and document incidents accurately.
- Follow security regulations and site procedures; perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting, as required.
Skills
- Essential: Strong observation, customer service, conflict management, conflict de-escalation, incident report writing, and compliance with security regulations.
- Essential: Ability to patrol, support physical security, and follow emergency response procedures; manual handling and heavy lifting may be required.
- Preferred: Experience with surveillance, security, law enforcement, or military service.
- Preferred: Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV, performing background checks, first aid and CPR, AED operation, Taser use, and firearm handling, where authorized and applicable.
- Required licenses, training, and equipment authorization depend on the role and applicable local regulations.
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
