Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista/Bartender to join our vibrant café team. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring that every customer has a memorable experience. This role requires strong time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Hours/Shifts
We are looking for someone to work 20-25 hours per week - evening and weekend availability a must! Shifts: 2:30-9pm weekdaysOpening/closing shifts on weekends - flexible availability preferred!
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care
- Use Square POS systems for order processing and payment handling
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including equipment, seating, and food preparation areas
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, pastries, and other supplies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
- Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and retail transactions
Experience
- Previous barista experience or background in the coffee industry is preferred
- Familiarity with Square POS systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive interactions with customers
- Experience in food service or food handling is beneficial
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
