Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations using booking systems.
- Seat guests promptly, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu offerings.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through POS systems and giving correct change.
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure seamless service flow.
- Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant hosting, or serving roles is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems for reservations and order management.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols in the restaurant industry.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing time efficiently.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and processing payments accurately.
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is advantageous but not required.
