WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Content Creator will support Made by Mary’s social content efforts by creating engaging, social-first short-form content that supports product launches, photoshoots, activations, brand storytelling, and ongoing community engagement across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and emerging platforms.
We’re looking for someone who understands social media culture, has strong creative instincts, and knows how to create content that feels native, engaging, emotional, trend-aware, and aligned with the Made by Mary brand.
This role is highly collaborative and works closely with our Producer, Brand Manager, and Marketing team to help bring launches, campaigns, shoots, and events to life through social-first storytelling.
DELIVERABLES & EXPECTATIONS:
Ongoing Social Content
- Create approximately 5–6 TikToks per week
- Capture and deliver short-form social content that supports launches, campaigns, products, and brand storytelling
- Create content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
Product Launch Support
- Create approximately 2 strong edited videos per product launch/drop
- Content may include:
- UGC-style content
- emotional storytelling
- trend-based concepts
- behind-the-scenes moments
- founder/team content
- product-focused storytelling
Photoshoots, Events & Activations
- Attend photoshoots, launches, pop-ups, activations, and other content-related events as needed
- Capture behind-the-scenes and social-first content during shoots and events
- Help identify real-time social content opportunities during launches, campaigns, and activations
- Occasional travel may be required for activations, events, and campaigns
Collaboration & Communication
- Participate in weekly marketing and creative sync meetings
- Stay active and responsive in Slack and collaborate closely with the team on upcoming launches, shoots, and content opportunities
- Contribute ideas related to trends, storytelling, social content, and platform-native creative execution
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, and short-form video culture
- Experience creating engaging social-first content for brands or personal platforms
- Strong video editing instincts and storytelling ability
- Someone with strong creative taste and a good eye for content that feels elevated, emotionally resonant, and platform-native
- Trend-aware, collaborative, proactive, and highly creative
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments
- Interest in fashion, jewelry, beauty, lifestyle, and digital culture
- Comfortable occasionally appearing on camera if needed
WHAT THIS ROLE INCLUDES:

This role is intended to serve as a collaborative external creative partner supporting the Made By Mary marketing and creative process while maintaining an independent contractor relationship.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position and is not eligible for employee benefits. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, equipment, and related business expenses.
This project-based role supports ongoing creative and marketing initiatives, and deliverables or scheduling needs may evolve based on business priorities, launches, and campaign timing.
