Job Title: Senior Business Analyst
Location: Austin, Texas- Hybrid
Level Description
- 8 years of experience in Business Analysis/Business Architecture roles, with proven ability to plan, lead, and accomplish organizational goals.
- Performs independently on complex assignments, applying creativity and judgment to solve business and technical challenges.
- Minimum 5 years experience as a liaison between Business stakeholders and IT teams (Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Sustainment, etc.).
- Strong experience as both a Data Analyst (analyzing raw data, modeling insights) and a Business Analyst (requirements gathering, stakeholder management, solution documentation).
- PMP certification or project management experience is a strong plus.
Job Description
The Senior Business Analyst / Business Architect will:
- Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.
- Formulate systems and processes aligned to overall business strategies.
- Lead business process reengineering (BPR) efforts, identifying technology-driven improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare solution options, risk assessments, and financial analyses (cost/benefit, ROI, buy vs. build).
- Create detailed documentation of user requirements, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify IT systems.
- Serve as a liaison between business units and IT delivery teams, ensuring alignment between business requirements and system functionality.
- Support digital transformation initiatives by aligning business strategy with operational execution.
- Collaborate with IT, operations, and product teams to implement and adopt reengineered workflows.
- Provide expertise in MITA framework and large-scale integrated eligibility system environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Digital Transformation Leadership: Drive large-scale initiatives, identifying opportunities for innovation and future-state business capabilities.
- Business Process Reengineering: Analyze current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, and design optimized, streamlined workflows.
- Business Modeling: Create and maintain business architecture artifacts, including BPMN process flows, capability models, value streams, and organizational models.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate workshops, elicit requirements, and validate business needs with leadership, IT teams, and external partners.
- Bridge Business & IT: Translate business objectives into actionable technical requirements while clarifying business impacts of technical decisions.
- Change Management: Support adoption of new processes through communication, training, and collaboration with end-users.
