Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm-Low Voltage Electrician to join our client's team in Vancouver, WA. This role supports the installation, programming, maintenance, and inspection of low-voltage fire alarm and life-safety systems across commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate brings technical expertise, professionalism, and strong customer-facing communication skills.
Pay: $40 /hr DOE & certifications
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with some on-call duties
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, program, and maintain fire alarm and low-voltage life-safety systems
Perform inspections and testing of fire alarm and sprinkler systems to ensure code compliance
Troubleshoot issues with fire alarm circuits, devices, panels, and network-based systems
Collaborate with construction teams to support proper installation and system integration
Utilize hand tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment to build, repair, and modify system components
Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, installations, programming, and regulatory compliance
Train clients on fire alarm system operation, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting
Assist sales teams with technical insights related to fire alarm upgrades or new installations
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project completion
What You Bring
Limited Energy/Low Voltage license in both Oregon and Washington
NICET II certification in Fire Alarm Systems
Ability to install, connect, and program radio and cellular communicators
Experience with IP network-based systems and PC-based programming tools
Strong customer-service skills and professional communication
Ability to work to precise specifications, codes, and standards of accuracy
Valid driver's license and dependable, punctual work habits
Maybe You Have
Experience leading fire alarm installation or inspection projects
Familiarity with multiple fire alarm manufacturers and platforms
Additional NICET certifications or electrical safety credentials
