Madden’s is currently seeking a full-time Painter to maintain and beautify our resort buildings.
Qualifications:- Making on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures and floors, applying tape to protect surfaces.
- Preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and repairing holes and cracks.
- Apply latex and oil-based paints and varnishes.
- Finish newly hung drywall by taping joints and applying joint compound.
- Fix blemishes on walls and ceilings by skim coating and sanding.
- Ensure all areas and equipment is clean at the end of day.
- Must be comfortable working on ladders and scaffolding.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Follow all company and government safety guidelines and requirements.
- Effectively use a variety of paint and drywall tools; follow oral and/or written instructions; establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work assignments.
- Ability to effectively manage time and complete all delegated work within the specified time.
- Ability to work in a team and coordinate work functions with fellow workers.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in multiple outlets and facilities.
Physical Demands:
Primarily stationery such as sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to stand, walk, talk/hear, both in person and by telephone, occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50-pound boxes and items sometimes repeatedly.
Expected Hours of Work:
7:30 am – 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.
Travel:
Less than 10% travel required.
Salary : $20 - $25
