Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs. Your energetic approach will ensure a positive experience by accurately assessing customer needs, providing clear explanations of services, and coordinating with technicians to deliver exceptional service. Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs.
• Provide detailed explanations of recommended services, including oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, tire services, and transmission diagnostics.
• Use estimating software to prepare accurate repair estimates and discuss options with customers to upsell necessary services responsibly.
• Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of all work.
• Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the service process, explaining repair procedures and answering questions confidently.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently while maintaining proper documentation.
• Promote additional services such as vehicle diagnostics, collision repair assessments, or maintenance packages to enhance customer value.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in auto service management within a dealership or independent shop environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in automotive diagnostics, transmissions, shocks & struts, suspension systems, brake repair, tire service, and oil changes.
• Proficiency with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
• Experience in auto estimating, service writing, and upselling techniques to maximize shop revenue responsibly.
• Dealership experience is highly preferred; automotive repair or service technician background is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive customer vehicles safely.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining high levels of integrity.
