Part Time Liquor Store Associate Needed

We are looking for enthusiastic Retail Liquor & Gifts Sales Associates to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and maintaining a clean and organized store. We are looking for someone who is passionate about sales and helping customers find the perfect product.

As a Sales Associate, you are a key member of our team to manage a variety of responsibilities such as a cashier, receiving, stocking, store physical look and maintenance. Cashier responsibilities include receiving payments and issuing receipts, gift-wrapping packages, and keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. You also develop new customers by identifying opportunities to sell additional items.

This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, have a knack for being Sociable, Friendly and enjoy talking to other people, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. Ideally, you have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers.
• Checking ID by enforcing all liquor and tobacco laws; following all company policies and procedures, including health, safety, and security.
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
• Collect payments whether in cash or credit
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the store
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
• Arranges and rotates all merchandise on shelves and inside the main cooler
• Stocks coolers/freezers (e.g. Beer, Soda, etc) and sets up displays (e.g. price tags/signage).
• Stocking may involve carrying large quantities of beer, liquor, wine, and other grocery items. This will require lifting/carrying merchandise that weighs up to 50 pounds.
• Ensures all pricing, signage, and display information is correct at all times in-store.
• Regular store maintenance such as Sanitizing, Cleaning, Sweeping, and Moping as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be able to work in a multi-paced environment and be comfortable with multi-tasking.
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to work with limited supervision
• Proficiency to navigate computer based technology
• The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Flexible and variable hours

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 per hour
