Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, providing excellent guest relations from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness
- Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering and basic math calculations for bills and payments
- Clear tables promptly by bussing and resetting for the next guests, maintaining a clean dining area at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and timely service in fast-paced environments like nightclubs or fine dining venues
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for seamless order processing
- Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols in the food service industry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest inquiries professionally
- Ability to multitask effectively with strong time management skills in busy restaurant or nightclub settings
- Previous experience in serving, hosting/hostess roles, or food industry positions demonstrating hospitality excellence
- Culinary experience or kitchen background preferred for better understanding of food preparation and presentation
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and accurate billing processes
