About the Role:
The Busser plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area to ensure a pleasant and efficient dining experience for all guests. This position involves promptly clearing and resetting tables, assisting servers with refilling beverages, and supporting the overall flow of service during busy periods. The Busser contributes to a welcoming atmosphere by ensuring that the dining environment is tidy, well-stocked, and ready for new guests. This role requires close collaboration with servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to facilitate smooth operations and timely service. Ultimately, the Busser helps uphold the establishment’s standards of hospitality and customer satisfaction through attentive and proactive support.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Basic understanding of restaurant hygiene and safety standards.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and guests.
- Reliable punctuality and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:
- Clear and clean tables promptly after guests have finished dining to prepare for the next seating.
- Reset tables with clean linens, silverware, glassware, and condiments according to restaurant standards.
- Assist servers by refilling water glasses, delivering bread or other items, and responding to guest requests as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and emptying trash receptacles.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service flow and communicate any issues or special guest needs to management.
Skills:
The Busser uses strong organizational skills daily to manage multiple tables and tasks efficiently, ensuring a smooth turnover between guests. Effective communication skills are essential for coordinating with servers and kitchen staff to meet guest needs promptly. Physical stamina and attention to detail are applied continuously to maintain cleanliness and proper table settings throughout the shift. Problem-solving skills help the Busser address unexpected situations, such as spills or guest requests, quickly and professionally. Additionally, a cooperative and positive attitude fosters teamwork and contributes to a welcoming dining environment.

Full time employees maintaining an average of 25 hours a week have an option to enroll in medical insurance and an HSA account while those who maintain 20 hours can choose to enroll in dental, vision, voluntary life, and pet Insurance. Employees are enrolled in the company’s 401k plan with an annual discretionary match after 500 hours of employment. Sick Leave is available for all front of house employees and accrued at 1 hour for every 40 hours worked.
