Who you are:

We are seeking a skilled Lead Registered Dental Assistant for a Full Time role working in a clinical setting. As a member of the health care team, the Lead RDA provides support to the Dental Manger and Dental Director. The lead RDA will:

  • Act as a liaison between the Dental Director, Dental Manager and staff
  • Provide training, support and leadership for all dental assistants
  • Ensure that all maintenance/safety logs are maintained and up to date
  • Ensure timely breaks of staff and manage timecards
  • Participate in reviews, training, and corrective action plans for staff
  • Maintain inventory and supplies for clinic
  • Perform all duties consistent with an RDA position as listed under the California ADA scope of practice under the general guidance of the Dentist 
  • Performs chairside assistant procedures such as handling instruments, mixing materials, charting and comforting patients
  • Update patient chart for each visit
  • Knowledgeable in dentistry field; i.e., tooth location and number, dental terminology, dental instruments and their functions
  • Knowledgeable with x-rays, machinery and radiation safety
  • Knowledgeable with taking impressions, dental plasters
  • Support receptionists as needed including coordinating patients schedules
  • Maintain good working relations among all staff through appropriate communications.
  • Work with organization in development and provision of preventative oral hygiene education for staff and patient


What you need:

  • Possession of a current Registered Dental Assistant license or Dental Assistant certification
  • 3 years of clinical experience preferred
  • Current BLS/ALS certificate preferred
  • Must pass Occupational Health Screening.
  • Must possess a valid form of identification as listed on the U.S. Department of Justice I-9 form, verified using the E Verify system.
  • Clean DMV driving record and MACT auto insurance driving eligibility (determined by auto insurance carrier).


The position requires an awareness and keen appreciation of American Indian traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs and the ability at all times to meet and deal effectively in contacts with Indian health organizations which requires tact, courtesy, discretion, resourcefulness and good judgment in handling functions of a sensitive nature.
