Macs Moving Acquisition, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Control Specialist to support our moving, storage, and logistics operations. In this role, you will oversee inventory accuracy for moving equipment, packing materials, and warehouse assets while ensuring efficient coordination across procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams. Your ability to analyze data, improve processes, and maintain accurate records will be critical in supporting our fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory levels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms to track moving supplies, equipment, and storage assets.
- Monitor stock movements and identify discrepancies in packing materials, tools, and inventory stored for clients.
- Conduct root cause analysis on inventory variances, shortages, or overages and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to maintain optimal inventory levels of boxes, packing supplies, and moving equipment.
- Assist with demand planning and forecasting based on moving schedules, seasonal demand, and operational needs.
- Oversee shipping and receiving activities, including handling materials, staging inventory, and coordinating with third-party logistics (3PL) providers if applicable.
- Analyze inventory data using reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar) to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Support warehouse organization, storage optimization, and tracking of customer-stored goods.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, cycle counts, and stock movements.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including proper handling of equipment and materials.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain roles, preferably in moving, logistics, or storage services.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms; experience with data tools like Excel, Power BI, or similar is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of inventory processes, materials handling, and logistics coordination.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
- Experience with demand planning or scheduling in service-based logistics is a plus.
