As a Civil Engineer you will lead and manage multiple infrastructure and building projects, including structural steel analysis, design, and construction. The Civil Engineer must possess a strong background in civil engineering principles and practices, with experience in project management and construction management. The Civil Engineer must have a strong technical background, proven project management abilities, and the skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders. This role involves working on various infrastructure projects, ensuring that Government and Public / Civic designs meet client specifications and regulatory requirements while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed designs for grading, drainage, dry -wet utility and other public improvements
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and environmental impact assessments
  • Prepare and review technical diagrams, drawings, specifications, and reports
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for routine and complex projects
  • Prepare scopes for GPRS, Geotechnical, LIDAR / Aerials
  • Prepare Survey Scopes for Property land use controls
  • Prepare SWPPP
  • Monitor Cost Control within budget
  • Prepare Hydrology studies and reports
  • Prepare soil import / export
  • Work as PM for Design - Build delegated task orders
  • Assist procuring Bids and Estimates
  • Negotiate Contracts, invoices
  • Collaborate with Design teams on review of building designs and plans
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan projects.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of project work, including reports and documentation
  • Prepare preliminary plan sets for agency submittal
  • Complete technical and report writing
  • Prepare and present project proposals to clients and company stakeholders, including cost estimates and timelines.
  • Collaborate with our Architect, external contractors, and other professionals to ensure project success. Monitor all drawings for QC
  • Attend formal training and maintain certifications
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that arise-ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ensure all engineering activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Conduct quality control inspections and tests on materials and workmanship
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Must have at least 5 years of professional experience in civil engineering
  • MUST HAVE A PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER (P.E.) LICENSE AND BE ABLE TO PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION OF THE LICENSE
  • Proven experience in civil engineering projects for construction
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, or other engineering design tools. Work w/ 3D BIM Revit/ 3D Civil / D AutoCAD / Bluebeam / Spec INTACT
  • Strong technical writing skills for creating reports, proposals, and project documentation.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, organizing, and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in construction monitoring to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Experience with construction projects in Federal/Military, Industrial, Manufacturing, or other forms of construction highly desired- NAVFAC / USACE
