Position Summary
- We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Site Civil Engineer to lead and expand our civil site practice in the Charleston, SC office. This leadership role demands a dynamic professional with a strong track record in business development, staff management, and project delivery.
- The ideal candidate will shape the strategic direction of the site civil group, cultivate client relationships, pursue new business opportunities, and ensure the financial success of the practice.
- Managing multidisciplinary teams and overseeing site development design and permitting.
- Mentoring junior staff, ensuring professional growth and technical excellence.
- Upholding high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
- Leveraging local market knowledge to expand our presence in the Lowcountry region.
- Develop and execute strategic growth plans in collaboration with office managers and practice leaders.
- Expand market presence through marketing and business development initiatives.
- Manage departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively.
- Lead and contribute to the development of proposals.
- Provide technical expertise to project managers and engineering teams.
- Assess resource and staffing needs for the department.
- Conduct interviews and hire staff as required.
- Perform performance reviews, incorporating feedback from project managers.
- Guide and manage team members through effective leadership, goal setting, coaching, and continuous performance management.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License or equivalent.
- 10 years of experience in site civil engineering.
- Expertise in project management and business development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
