We are seeking an attorney who is interested in litigation and who will manage a diverse range of cases, working closely with a senior attorney to develop legal strategies and representing clients in court proceedings. This role requires a strong understanding of civil and commercial litigation processes, excellent research and writing skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Handle all aspects of case management, including discovery, motions, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation.
· Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
· Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and solutions for clients.
· Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.
· Attend hearings, arbitrations, and trials.
Qualifications:
· Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
· Admission to the Oregon State Bar.
· 1 years of experience in litigation and/or motion practice (preferred).
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with e-discovery and case management software.
· Background in commercial, corporate, or civil litigation.
