Job Summary:
Reports to and works directly with the Warehouse Supervisor and Lead Clerk to manage the movement of materials, enter and upload system transactions, service client requests, and perform housekeeping activities. Clerks are responsible for supporting the supply chain for water, sewer, fleet, and stormwater business units.
Responsibilities:
- Service internal department requests
- Perform part sourcing and walk-down activities
- Stock and label activities
- Organize inventories
- Perform out shipment duties (vendor returns, repairable spares)
- Perform parts picking, Staging, and delivery activities
- Retrieve vendor part deliveries
- Perform cycle counts
- Perform database /storeroom reconciliation activities
- Perform system transaction uploads (issues, cycle counts, inventory database updates, etc.)
- Cleaning
- Perform storeroom cosmetic improvements
- Purge part staging areas
- Work closely with receiving clerk on out-shipments, and parts pick up
- Set up Purchase Orders
- Responsible for Purchase Requisitions
- Responsible for price change updates, materials accuracy, and Cayenta's supply chain
- Managing year-end physical inventory for auditors
- Maintains and develops effective relationships with all suppliers and contractors

- On-Call Twice a Month for A Week At The Time
- Work with Planners on Correct Parts Orders
- Work with Vendors on Order Status

Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Knowledge of barcoding systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of City Works Asset Management system
- Valid Georgia driver's license with a clean driving record
- Proficient in the Cayenta system
- Ability to safely operate large forklifts and cranes
- Ability to work in construction zones and handle traffic safety devices effectively and safely such as cones and barrels
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent standing, stooping, walking, bending, and lifting
- Occasional sitting, crawling, crouching, climbing, or balancing
- Ability to carry 50 to 80 pounds or more. Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Use hands for simple grasping, writing, drawing, and operating office equipment.
- Physical strength and endurance to perform manual labor for extended periods, possibly under adverse weather or working conditions.
- Occasionally require climbing and may involve traveling over various terrains
