What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute - Part Time position at Macon Program For Progress?
- POSITION:** Substitute
- SHIFT:** Work times vary - 29 hours per week
- Ability to provide seamless staff coverage to allow for routine breaks, planning and special activities.
- Ability to collaborate and work with the Lead Teacher and Teacher in assigned classrooms and follow the daily lesson plan for assigned or scheduled classroom.
- Ability to apply Early Childhood Development theory to daily classroom activities and adapts the theory to the individualized needs of children.
- Ability to act supervise and maintains safety of children by following indoor and outdoor environment safety rules, routines and procedures.
- Relates to children in a calm, caring, and nurturing manner and uses age appropriate child guidance techniques.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED required;
- CDA or AA preferred.
- Two years experience working with children preferred
- CPR and First Aid Certification at time of hire or achieve within first 6 weeks of hire
- Valid NC drivers license and willing to get a CDL bus license.
