Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tractor/ agricultural equipment maintenance and repair. This role involves diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, tractors, hydraulics and related components. The Agricultural Technician will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of quality in all work performed.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose issues using diagnostics tools and schematics.
- Repair or replace defective parts such as shocks, struts, and other components.
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently during testing and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery.
Skills
- Proficiency in diagnostics and repair techniques.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, including Caterpillar engines.
- Experience with heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
