What are the responsibilities and job description for the Merchandising Staff (Gameday) position at Macon Mayhem?
Position Overview: The Macon Mayhem are looking for a Merchandise Assistant for our upcoming 2024-2025 season! This is a part-time, paid position located in the city of Macon. The ideal candidate will be an independent worker, detail-oriented, a natural problem solver, trustworthy and reliable.
Timeline and Hours:
Now – April 2025
Attendance at all Mayhem Home Games (Office Hours Available)
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing purchase orders and incoming inventory from third-party vendors
- Tag, inventory, fold, and organize new and existing retail items
- Prepare incoming merchandise orders for customers accurately and in a timely manner
- Find, address and solve merchandise related issues
- Manage and train staff/interns assisting with merchandise on game days
- Assist our full-time staff with administrative duties
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing at least 25 lbs., stand on your feet for 8 hours at a time, ascend/descend stairs while carrying boxes or other items
- Communicate in a professional and customer-oriented manner with fans in-person, on the phone and via email
- Frequently use computer software including, but not limited to Google Docs, Google Sheets, Print Master and Square Point of Sale System.
