Part-Time Cashier
Macon Grocery is looking for a friendly, dependable, outgoing person to join our team as a Part-Time Cashier.
Position Details
- Part-time: 3–4 days per week
- Schedule: Afternoon/evening shift, approximately 3:00 PM–7:00 PM
- Must be available to work weekends
- Consistent and reliable attendance is important.
Job Responsibilities
As a cashier at Macon Grocery, you will help provide a friendly and positive experience for our customers while keeping the store clean, stocked, and organized.
Responsibilities include:
- Greet customers with a friendly and outgoing attitude
- Provide excellent customer service
- Operate the store's POS/cash register system
- Handle cash, credit/debit transactions, and customer purchases accurately
- Sell and process Michigan Lottery transactions
- Issue DNR licenses and permits when required
- Stock and organize merchandise throughout the store
- Keep shelves and displays neat and presentable
- Perform minor housekeeping throughout the store
- Light sweeping and mopping as needed
- Help maintain a clean and welcoming checkout area
- Assist customers with questions and locating merchandise
- Follow store procedures and maintain a professional, friendly attitude
- Help with other general store duties as needed
