Neighborhood Program Director

The Neighborhood Program Director will create and manage a series of neighborhood planning boards for disadvantaged areas of Macon-Bibb County and act as a liaison between these groups and the Macon-Bibb County Administration. In addition to serving these boards, the director will coordinate and execute a program of community clean ups and targeted infrastructure improvements county wide. 

• Deliver all projects and duties assigned by and at the direction of the Director of Planning and Public Spaces. 
• Create a series of Main Street style neighborhood boards in key neighborhoods within Macon-Bibb County
• Work with Macon-Bibb departments and community agencies to develop a coordinated plan of community clean-ups, code enforcement sweeps, right of way clearings, sidewalk repairs, and other necessary improvements. 
• Act as liaison between community groups and the Mayor’s Office
• Develop with neighborhood groups plans of redevelopment building off the Main Street four-point approach.

A bachelor’s degree in the relevant field and at least 3 years’ experience or a master’s degree in business, public administration, law, or management.  Any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
