General Summary
Under direction, this position assists with administering the Training and Services Grant between the Office of Senior Services (OSS), the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), and the National Clearinghouse on Abuse Later in Life (NCALL). Leads the initial Needs Assessment and develops strategic planning in coordination with project partners. Ensures project partners attend national training for trainers, prepares and updates training material. Schedules and attends meetings between project partners and Coordinated Community Response (CCR) members, including coalition meetings and communication; community engagement; strategic plan development, implementation, research, and evaluation. Acts as liaison, representative and/or resource person between the Office of Senior Services, project partners and the community.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities
Leads initial Needs Assessment of the Training and Services Grant, works with project partners in strategic plan development, implementation, research and evaluation of training and services.
Serves as liaison between OSS and the project management staff of the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), the National Clearinghouse on Abuse Later in Life (NCALL), and members of the Coordinated Community Response (CCR) team, as well as other project partners in law enforcement and victim services.
Compiles and submits evaluation data, grant activity reports and progress reports to project partners.
Maintains records and prepares reports as required.
Assists with the analysis of data for strategic development and enhancement of services for victims of elder abuse.
Reviews and evaluates the community’s response to elder abuse and identifies gaps and barriers to be addressed or improved.
Coordinates required in depth “train the trainer” training with all project partners.
Works with project partners to develop training on elder abuse to multidisciplinary audiences in Macomb County.
Prepares and updates the training materials for project partner’s trainers.
Coordinates and attends meetings with all project partners.
Operates an automobile to perform assigned job functions.
Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Gerontology, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or a related field
- Three (3) years of experience working in human services or community services
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Gerontology, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or a related field
- Experience with federal grant requirements and reporting
- Experience working with abuse victims and older adults
- Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and operable, insured automobile for authorized travel
