Job Function
Perform various duties in support of full-time and part-time Veterinary Assistant Program staff. Assist in Veterinary Assistant lab activities to include animal care.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist instructors in preparing for classroom and laboratory sessions.
- Prepare equipment and consumables for lab courses and related areas.
- Set up, maintain and provide students with a clean and organized lab and classroom environment. This includes the movement and organization of lab equipment and supplies as requested.
- Ensure all equipment functions properly and safely.
- Provide support to instructors and students during practical evaluation sessions of required skills.
- Guidance of small student groups through various skills under the instruction of faculty.
- Oversee proper cleanup of lab spaces after classes.
- Assist in maintenance of various medical equipment.
- Assist with tracking supplies and maintaining proper inventory control.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to the Veterinary Assistant program.
- May assist with data input.
- May move and unpack inventory.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
Must be a Licensed Veterinary Technician with current licensing and requirements for the state of Michigan.
Qualifications
Must have at least 2 years of clinical experience.
Salary : $30
