Sr. Development Test Engineer / Development Test Engineer

Job Description:

• Develop DC and RF test software to be deployed across multiple MACOM sites based on project scope.
• Maintain and facilitate ticket requests to support bug fixing / feature additions to software.
• Debug / troubleshoot test hardware in lab in support of software automation.
• Support instrument driver development to increase scale of bench and labs supported across different sites.
• Implement new test scripts to support development and characterization of new technologies coming out of the fab.
• Support design team with automation to take characterization data from the lab into datasheets and other common reports.
• Support lab manager with hardware calibration, repair, and general test equipment upkeep
  
  

Key Competencies:

• Experience with mix signal and RF testing using VISA and direct SCPI commands
• Experience in test development & hands-on knowledge with lab equipment vendors such as R&S, Keysight, Tektronix, Keithley, etc.
• Good programming skills with previous experience developing and releasing test solutions to development and/or production will be a plus
• Ability to read and understanding board schematic and layout drawing for purpose of understanding test system and device operations for troubleshooting.
• Proficient with MATLAB, Python, C and have experience utilizing AI in code development
• Fundamental knowledge of GIT and revision control
• Experience with DevOps environments like GitLab or Azure and utilizing pipelines for deployment of software is a plus
• Knowledge of SQL and database schemes is a plus
• Deadline and detail oriented
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering or related field and a minimum of 4 years of test engineering / manufacturing experience in Semiconductor test labs or production.

• Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is expected.
