Position Summary
Maco PKG is seeking a dependable Material Handler to support our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for safely moving raw materials, supplies, packaging components, and finished goods throughout the facility using a forklift and other material-handling equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Move materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated areas throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Supply production areas with materials needed to maintain operations.
- Move completed product from production areas to designated storage or staging locations.
- Load, unload, stage, and organize materials as required.
- Follow proper material identification, handling, storage, and packing procedures.
- Maintain clean and organized work and storage areas.
- Follow all safety, GMP, food-safety, and company procedures.
- Assist with other material-handling and production-support duties as assigned.
- Experience with inventory control and physical counts.
- Ability to operate a barcode scanner (SAP knowledge preferred).
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience operating material-handling equipment preferred.
- Forklift experience/certification preferred; training may be provided based on Maco's requirements.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to regularly bend, reach, twist, turn, stand, and walk.
- Ability to work in areas where temperatures may vary based on outside conditions.
