Job description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant District Manager to support the oversight and operations of multiple affordable housing communities within our portfolio. This role is ideal for a property management professional who is ready to grow into a multi-site leadership position while making a meaningful impact in low-income housing.
The Assistant District Manager supports the District Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining financial performance, and promoting high standards of resident satisfaction across multiple affordable housing communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising and supporting Property Managers across multiple sites
- Ensure compliance with LIHTC, HUD, and other applicable affordable housing regulations
- Monitor property performance including occupancy, collections, budgeting, and expenses
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure operational and maintenance standards are met
- Support audit preparation and regulatory reporting
- Help oversee leasing efforts and resident relations
- Ensure properties meet company policies and industry best practices
- Provide operational support during staff absences or transitions
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in property management (affordable housing experience strongly preferred)
- Working knowledge of LIHTC and HUD compliance requirements
- Experience with multi-site operations preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze financial reports and budgets
- Proficiency with property management software
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites
