MacLean Power System - Newberry is looking for a Materials Manager - Fiberglass Crossarm

We are seeking a self-directed and innovative Materials Manager to join our Materials Team, with a dedicated focus on Transmission and Distribution Fiberglass Crossarms serving the electrical utility market. The Materials Manager serves as a key member of the plant leadership team, guiding the Shipping and Warehouse Department and championing a culture of excellence. This role is responsible for managing inventory control operations for an organization. The Materials Managers oversees all aspects of the Warehouse, and Shipping function. Through effective leadership and collaboration, Materials Manager ensures that shipping and receiving standards are met or exceeded across all operations, driving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Job Duties

• ·Responsible for determining the quantity and availability of materials necessary for master production scheduling
• Administer cycle counts to ensure ordering is accurate and fulfill essential needs
• Resolve all inventory related supply issues
• Review trends to improve inventory operations including; purchasing, materials, suppliers and storage
• Support financial cost containment through minimizing inventory loss, root-cause analyses, turnover rates and space requirements
• Represent the organizations inventory needs when developing or maintaining supplier relationships
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures

Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

• Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles
• Perform complex tasks typically following established processes
• Lead and direct the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions
• Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures; may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning and procedural change
• Typically require a bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience
• An advanced degree may be preferred
