Job Summary
Develops, implements, and enforces safety-related programs and processes meant to prevent injuries, illnesses, environmental releases, and other workplace incidents.
Job Duties
- Inspects the workplace and identifies and addresses potential safety hazards
- Creates and delivers safety training programs educating employees on safe working practices, appropriate equipment operation, and emergency procedures
- Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
- Investigates incidents or accidents, gathers and analyzes statistics, and makes recommendations for improvements
- Act as a liaison between management and employees on safety-related matters
- Prepares and submits accident reports in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements
- Completes all necessary documents fully and accurately
- Adheres to 5S standards (e.g., maintains cleanliness of work station, etc.)
- Promote a culture of safety through communication and engagement
- Follows all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
- 0-2 years of experience and typically requires a Bachelor’s degree
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Handles basic issues and problems and refers complex issues to higher-level staff
