This role is ideal for a first‑year attorney seeking broad exposure to corporate, commercial, and employment matters in a fast‑paced manufacturing and industrial environment. The Associate Counsel will work closely with the Chief Legal Officer and internal business partners to provide practical, business‑focused legal support across the organization.

The Associate Counsel will work closely with the Chief Legal Officer and internal business partners to provide practical, business‑focused legal support across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day‑to‑day legal needs of the business under the supervision of the Chief Legal Officer
- Draft, review, and assist with negotiation of commercial contracts, including NDAs, customer agreements, supplier agreements, and service contracts
- Assist with employment‑related legal matters, including policy review, employee relations issues, and coordination with HR
- Support corporate governance activities, including entity management, board materials, and recordkeeping
- Assist in managing outside counsel, including litigation support, regulatory matters, and specialized legal projects
- Help develop and maintain internal legal templates, playbooks, and contract standards
- Support compliance initiatives and internal investigations as needed
- Provide general legal support on strategic initiatives, acquisitions, integrations, and special projects
Required:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (or eligibility to sit for the next bar exam)
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential information
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional business teams
- Internship or clerkship experience in a corporate or in‑house legal environment
- Interest in corporate, commercial, employment, or manufacturing‑related legal matters
- Experience reviewing or drafting contracts (academic or practical)
- Practical, business‑oriented legal mindset
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
- Professional judgment and discretion
- Willingness to learn and take ownership of projects
