Description

Lower School Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) Maclay School seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Lower School Teaching Assistant to join our team. This full-time position is ideal for individuals passionate about working with young learners and eager to support a dynamic and engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate closely with the lead teacher to support daily classroom instruction and management.

· Provide individualized and small-group support to students, reinforcing key academic concepts.

· Assist in preparing and organizing instructional materials, classroom activities, and student work.

· Supervise students during transitions, recess, and lunch to ensure a safe and positive atmosphere.

· Support students' social-emotional development by fostering a nurturing and respectful classroom culture.

· Perform additional duties as requested by the lead teacher or school administration.

Position Details:

· Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 3:30 PM

· Location: Maclay School, Lower School Division

· Start Date: July 31, 2025

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree required (Education or related field preferred).

· Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills.

· A positive and flexible attitude with a willingness to take initiative.

· A genuine love for children and a passion for teaching and learning.
