Duties
- Assist attorneys with case management across diverse practice areas such as estate planning, family law, trusts, municipal law, and civil litigation
- Draft and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Manage document management systems to ensure accuracy and confidentiality
- Support client communication through phone calls, emails, and meetings while maintaining professional etiquette and confidentiality
- Organize and maintain case files through meticulous filing, data entry, and document management practices
- Assist with procedural law compliance and prepare materials for court filings or client meetings
- Perform proofreading and editing of legal documents to ensure high-quality submissions
- Coordinate with external parties on project timelines and manage multiple tasks efficiently using project management tools
Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly and accurately
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and internal collaboration
- Experience in legal drafting, writing skills enhancement, proofreading, transcription and document review processes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Strong clerical skills including filing, data entry, phone etiquette and administrative support functions
