What are the responsibilities and job description for the RF Lab Engineer position at Mackin Talent?
We are currently seeking a professional with experience in building RF systems for an opportunity with one of our technology clients.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and RSA (Real-Time Spectrum Analyzers) for hardware testing and analysis
- Perform I-V (current-voltage) characterization on a variety of electronic components and devices
- Conduct RF testing and debugging to identify performance or design issues
- Perform device teardown, disassembly/reassembly, and root cause/failure analysis
- Document teardown procedures and test results with precision and clarity
- Track test devices from initial intake through final resolution
- Assist software teams by locating critical data within device file systems, under guidance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- End-to-End Project Execution.
- Security & Forensics: understanding of device security principles for hardware or knowledge of forensics lab investigation capabilities.
- AI/ML Experience: AI/ML framework experience (training, evaluation, etc.).
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience.
- Proficiency in electronic circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
- Experience with chip-level failure analysis techniques and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on expertise with test and measurement equipment, including spectrum analyzers, digital oscilloscopes, and soldering/rework systems.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and experience with model training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with high attention to detail.
