Prep Cook

Job Summary
Prep Cooks only hours are from 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM or when your list is done. The quicker you get your prep list done the earlier you can get out making it the best flexible morning job for single parents or individuals looking for some extra income. Part time. Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Job duties include prepping in house items using recipe at a fast pace to get your prep list done before open.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as required.
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food preparation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas, adhering to food safety standards.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to assist in menu planning and execution of catering orders.
• Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs and preferences.
• Help with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and storing food items properly.
• Participate in regular training on food safety practices and kitchen protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook or in a dietary aide role is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• A passion for cooking, catering, and providing high-quality food service to customers.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
