MacKay Sposito is seeking a full-time **High Voltage Electrical Inspector** to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for electrical construction experience or experience in related engineering fields including electrical and civil. You must be comfortable with navigating and understanding project specifications and blueprints/drawings. This role is based out of Vancouver, WA.
Ideal candidates will be excellent communicators and have excellent computer skills. This position performs physical on-site observation, documentation, and inspection of electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects to assess and ensure compliance with applicable project plans, specifications, codes and regulations. Non-compliant items discovered during inspection are communicated to contractors in real time. This position also requires routine communication of project information to clients, regulatory agencies, peers, and managers.
Keys Responsibilities
A degree in construction management or engineering degree in related field (electrical, mechanical, or civil) OR Journeyman-level professional experience in the electrical field.
Working knowledge of electrical substation systems including but not limited to:
Steel structures
Electrical equipment
Foundations
Grounding
Telecommunications design
Electrical and telecommunications installation
Low voltage wiring
Optical network systems verification and validation testing for startup and commissioning
Communication batteries
AC and DC distribution panels and wiring
Demonstrated success in working independently to meet deadlines.

- Effectively document the project through daily reports and photographs.
- Effectively communicate with the project team including the owner, construction contractor, design team, and project stakeholders.
- Act as Owner's Representative to execute a wide range of inspection activities reliably.
- Maintain composure while under pressure and remain flexible despite interruptions or changes.
- Work under the direction of a lead construction inspector as well as independently.
- Seek out continual learning and improvement opportunities.
