Conformal Coat Touch Up Assembler
Summary
The Assembler 1- Conformal Coat is responsible for performing subassembly, assembly and all
conformal coat paint processes on a variety of electronic, pneumatic and mechanical assemblies,
working from engineering drawings and work instructions for Mack Technologies Florida, Inc.
Reports to the Production Supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Apply masking tape to all specified areas according to masking procedures and visual aide
instructions. - Verify integrity of taping requirements to be applied to PCBs.
- Accurately inspect the condition of incoming product.
- Identify and report defective masked areas to Group Leader.
- Inspect own work to ensure placement accuracy and completeness of work performed.
- Operate conformal coat automated machinery as part of the assembly process.
- Apply conformal coat repairs on PCBs as needed.
- Perform stripping, conformal coat, masking, touch-up and bonding requirements on repair and
overhaul units. - De-mask and inspect boards following the coating process for any defects and touch up as
required. - Use calibrated equipment and machinery as part of the assembly process.
- Maintain accurate documentation on re-work, repairs and modifications.
- Bake circuit board assemblies and restock supplies as needed.
- Assist with testing and NPI (new product introduction) as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve department related issues.
- Understand and follow all applicable ISO and job specific procedures.
- Maintain ESD integrity within production environment.
- Responsible for the accuracy of work-in process associated with work cell.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of work area and surrounding work space.
- Participate in Quality team meetings, as required.
- May train other employees.
- Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- 2 years of experience in coating application/manual spray environment preferred.
- Manual spray and respirator certification preferred.
- IPC-A-610 Certified.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and IPC Standards.
- ESD Training.
- Ability to use various hand tools (pliers, rulers, cutters and pneumatic tools such as torque drivers, torque wrenches and screwdrivers).
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to interpret print, schematics and diagrams.
- Basic computer, problem solving, delegation and workstation skills.
- Experience with high-volume work.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
