Mack Industries is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Astatula, Florida.
In this role, you'll help keep our operation running by maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of trucks, trailers, forklifts, heavy equipment, and company vehicles. What You’ll Do:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and fleet equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
- Complete DOT inspections and maintain accurate service records
- Repair engines, transmissions, steering, braking, suspension, hydraulic, electrical, and lighting systems
- Maintain and repair company trucks, trailers, forklifts, loaders, and other heavy equipment
- Respond to occasional roadside service calls for company vehicles
- Maintain inventory of parts and shop tools
- Keep the maintenance shop clean, organized, and safe
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 3 years of diesel mechanic experience (technical education may be substituted for experience)
- Experience diagnosing diesel engine and equipment issues
- Strong hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and inspections
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working on construction, heavy equipment, or industrial fleets
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, and crawl throughout the workday
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying Florida weather conditions
