The Role

We are hiring a Ministry Coordinator to provide Ministry Services at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe, HI. This is a 1099 contract position offering 15 hours per week, year-round. You will lead a base-wide, non-denominational Protestant ministry serving school children and teens.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and deliver weekly ministry activities
- Lead key programs such as:
- AWANA
- Vacation Bible School (VBS)
- Sunday Children’s Church
- Holiday events
- Recruit, train, and mentor adult volunteers
- Keep detailed records of attendance and volunteer activities
- Coordinate efforts with local churches, schools, and organizations
- Develop and distribute promotional materials
- Submit resource forecasts and facility requests
- Attend chapel and community meetings as needed
The Person
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a letter of recommendation from a Protestant military Chaplain or Senior Pastor
- Can demonstrate knowledge of Protestant faith and ministry
- Submits a current resume showing relevant experience
- Holds U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
- Can pass background and base access checks
- Has experience leading Christian activities
