They will greet patients, schedule appointments, answer phones, handle inquiries, and perform administrative tasks.
This role requires excellent patient service skills, strong documentation abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality customer service in a supportive clinic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, escort them to examination rooms, and provide a positive experience.
- Scheduling and Appointments: Manage patient appointments, confirm appointments, and handle cancellations.
- Communication: Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and address patient questions and concerns.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, symptoms, and treatments.
- Billing and Payments: Process payments, and verify insurance eligibility.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform basic data entry, file documents, inventory tracking, and manage office equipment.
- Clinical Assistance: May assist with taking vital signs or preparing examination rooms.
Experience
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist is preferred.
- Familiarity with administrative tasks such as documentation review, office management, and front desk operations is advantageous.
- Strong phone etiquette and patient service skills are essential for effective communication with clients.
