Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Cemetery Groundskeeper to maintain the beauty, safety, and integrity of our cemetery grounds. Responsibilities
- Maintain the overall appearance of the cemetery grounds through landscaping, mowing, trimming, and planting.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to perform tasks such as edging, pruning, and debris removal.
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of lawns, flower beds, and trees.
- Conduct routine landscape maintenance including fertilizing, aerating, and weed control.
- Perform general groundskeeping duties such as litter pickup, pathway cleaning, and grave site upkeep.
- All plantings weeded and fertilized and any horticultural activities to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the grounds.
- Be courteous and helpful to visitors on grounds.
Requirements
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred.
- Knowledge of horticulture practices and plant care techniques.
- Ability to operate lawn mowers, power tools, hand tools, and irrigation systems safely.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a respectful attitude towards visitors and colleagues.
- Basic understanding of landscaping principles including lawn care, gardening, and land management.
