Machinist-- Manual/CNC
Machining Technology has immediate openings for full-time machinists.
Tasks
- Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, grinders.
- Set up, program and operate CNC mills, and CNC lathes.
Knowledge
- Mechanical-Knowledge of machines and tools including use of micrometers, calipers and other measuring instruments.
- Mathematical-Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus and their applications in relation to machining procedures.
- Must be able to read close tolerance blueprints.
Skills
- Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Operation and Control - Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
- Attention to Detail - Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.

- Must be able to compute correct speeds and feeds for different applications.
- Experience with GE Fanuc Controls and HAAS Controls a plus.
Salary is commensurate with experience. Candidate must have own tools, pass a pre-employment drug screening and be able to demonstrate ability during interview.
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent, Technical Training and/or 5 years machine shop experience a must.
