Position Overview
As a Lifeguard with Machine, your primary responsibility is maintaining a safe and welcoming aquatic environment for swimmers, families, staff, and guests. Lifeguards are expected to remain attentive, enforce facility safety rules, respond appropriately to emergencies, and provide excellent customer service.
We are looking for team members who take safety seriously, communicate well, and can be counted on to arrive on time and ready to work.
Responsibilities
- Maintain active and consistent surveillance of the pool and surrounding areas
- Recognize and respond quickly to swimmers who may be in distress
- Enforce pool rules and safety policies in a professional and consistent manner
- Respond to aquatic and facility emergencies according to established procedures
- Perform rescues, CPR, First Aid, and other emergency care when necessary
- Complete required opening, closing, and safety checks
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pool deck
- Communicate professionally with swimmers, parents, coaches, instructors, and other staff
- Report incidents, hazards, and maintenance concerns promptly
- Participate in required staff meetings, training, and in-service sessions
- Assist with other aquatic facility responsibilities as needed
Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4.0 – 24.0 per week
