Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Maintenance Technician to perform on-site maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of CNC and manual machines, lathes, mill grinders, etc., along with industrial manufacturing equipment. This role supports production by servicing equipment directly at customer or facility locations in a time-critical environment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, a solid understanding of CNC machinery, and the ability to identify and resolve issues in the field.

Responsibilities
- Travel to job sites to perform on-site maintenance and repair of CNC and industrial equipment
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical/ electrical issues involving:
- Hydraulics
- Ball screws
- Gearboxes
- Machine alignment and component wear
- Rigging, leveling, and precision alignment of machines in the field
- Troubleshoot CNC controls and understand how control systems function
- Identify and assist with electrical issues related to machine controls (electrical background preferred)
- Inspect equipment, document findings, and recommend repairs or improvements
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safety procedures while working on-site
- Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members
Qualifications
- Experience as a field service technician, maintenance technician, or industrial mechanic is a plus
- Strong mechanical, aptitude with CNC or industrial equipment a plus
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices
- Ability to recognize issues related to hydraulics, mechanical drives, alignment, and wear
- Understanding of CNC controls and machine operation
- Electrical background related to machine controls is a plus
- Lockout/Tagout knowledge preferred
(Training provided if necessary)
- Comfortable working with others or independently at customer sites
- Willingness to travel locally and/or regionally as required
- Rigging and machine installation experience helpful
Training & Safety
- Safety and Lockout/Tagout training provided as needed
