REGIONAL SAFETY & HR MANAGER
Deer Park, TX | Full-Time | Regional Travel Required
We are recruiting a Regional Safety & HR Manager for a well-established provider of specialty rental equipment, fluid-management solutions and field services supporting industrial, petrochemical, municipal, construction and energy customers.
This position will lead safety initiatives across multiple branch locations and customer jobsites while supporting key HR functions. Approximately 75% of the role will focus on safety, with the remaining 25% dedicated to human resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety Leadership:
- Lead safety programs across branch and field operations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, environmental and customer requirements
- Conduct branch, shop, yard, vehicle and jobsite safety audits
- Develop and deliver safety meetings, toolbox talks, orientations and training
- Investigate incidents, injuries, vehicle accidents and near misses
- Complete root-cause analyses and implement corrective actions
- Track safety metrics, identify trends and report recommendations to leadership
- Maintain employee certifications, training records and compliance documentation
- Oversee drug and alcohol testing programs
- Coordinate contractor prequalification and ISNetworld/Avetta compliance
- Develop JHAs, site-specific safety plans and risk assessments
- Support branch leadership in maintaining a proactive safety culture
Human Resources:
- Coordinate employee onboarding and new-hire orientation
- Maintain personnel records and HR documentation
- Support employee relations and policy interpretation
- Manage workers’ compensation claims and return-to-work programs
- Assist with recruitment, candidate screening and hiring
- Coordinate employee training and professional development
- Support benefits administration and open-enrollment communications
- Assist with performance management and disciplinary documentation
- Help maintain compliance with employment laws and internal policies
- Support employee engagement and retention initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety-management systems
- Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions
- Experience developing and delivering safety-training programs
- Strong communication, leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and influence employees at every level
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel regularly between branches and customer jobsites
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Three or more years of safety-management experience within industrial services, construction, manufacturing, energy, rental equipment or a related industry
- CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST or another recognized safety certification
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR or a similar HR certification
- DOT and fleet-safety compliance
- Workers’ compensation administration
- Multi-location operational support
- ISNetworld or Avetta compliance
